Tiffany Reese
Tiffany Reese is a Northern California-based documentarian, survivor advocate, digital creator and author. A journalist and survivor of childhood & body-image abuse, sexual assault, and a co-victim of murder, she channels her experiences into amplifying and centering survivors’ voices in media.
January 2019, Tiffany launched the critically acclaimed, chart-topping docuseries podcast Something Was Wrong, which has become a leading voice in the true crime and survivor advocacy space. The show earned the 2019 Iris Award for Podcast of the Year, was nominated for Best Crime Podcast at the iHeart Podcast Awards in both 2024 and 2025, and received a 2025 Webby Award nomination for Best Crime & Justice Podcast.
Something Was Wrong has also consistently ranked among the Top Subscriber Podcasts on Apple Podcasts in 2023 and 2024, further cementing its status as one of the most impactful survivor-focused docuseries in the medium.
Tiffany has authored two books—Everything Sucks: A Gratitude Journal for People Who Have Been Through Some Sh*t (2019) and Strong Women Rising (2020).
She is also the founder and President of Broken Cycle Media, a survivor-led, victim-centered multimedia company dedicated to advocating for crime survivors and driving meaningful change in systems, lives, and laws.
In her free time, Tiffany likes to hang out with her family, friends, dogs, plants, records and books.
